We're thrilled to introduce you to our newest team within Find Recruitment - our Business Support team!
As part of Auckland Corporate, the team is led by Amelia Nelson who was recently promoted to Team Leader. Together with Nadia and Geena, she is helping to place exceptional individuals into those business critical roles that you rely upon to help your business function!
The team will be working to recruit for support roles in Finance, Accounting, General Business, Legal, Sales and Marketing. We have access to a huge range of wonderful candidates across the country that we can introduce you to! Whether you're looking to hire on a permanent, full-time basis, or to recruit a contractor to fill a key segment of work, we're able to help!
"In the last 6 to 12 months we have seen a dramatic drop in applicants across a wide range of roles. We are still able to fill roles, however there are less options and the competition is fierce for the quality candidates. There has been an increase in salaries and a big push for candidates being available immediately, or even covering notice periods to help transition staff across smoothly.
One of the main reasons I have found candidates looking for a new role is they are wanting a hybrid role with flexibility and work-from-home options more than at other levels. The pandemic has given employees a taste of a flexible working life and now as some companies are requesting employees to return to the office full time, some are deciding this doesn’t suit them anymore.
With COVID isolation periods being somewhat behind us now, we're seeing a stark increase in burnout of employees, and a general sense of being run down. This is causing a greater level of pressure on teams than ever before, and thus is giving rise to a lot more contractor roles to help fill these gaps. With life getting back to normal, somewhat, we will hopefully see an increase in the health and morale of employees.
The other trend I have observed is candidates that have not been in the job market for many years are now considering something new and they have more options than ever before! In particular, there has been a big push towards supporting returning mothers and kiwis returning from abroad. It will be interesting to monitor these trends as the working world adjusts to post-pandemic life.”
Coming to us from a similar recruiting background, and with an eagerness to learn, they will be supporting Amelia in getting our Business Support offerings into full swing. You can learn more about them both beneath!
Nadia: After completing my Bachelor of Business majoring in Management I applied for a job advertisement on Student Job Search. It was from a company looking for recent graduates and from there I was put me forward to my first agency. Most recently I interviewed with Simon Rooney and Amelia and have now started my journey here at Find!
Geena: I have grown up in Auckland and studied a Bachelor of International Hospitality Management at AUT. I began my career at The Body Shop as the Assistant Manager and this is where I discovered my love for recruitment! My favourite thing about recruitment is getting to chat to people all day everyday - building new connections and developing old ones!
